How ant control works
A trail of ants in a kitchen is the visible end of a colony that is somewhere else, usually outside, often under a slab edge or in a landscaped bed against the house. Spraying the trail kills the ants you can see and leaves the colony producing more.
The work is treating the trail and the nesting and entry areas around the outside of the house, so the pressure stops at the perimeter instead of arriving in the kitchen.
